As stated by the Deloitte report "The future prospects of Intelligent Automation, according to Italian companies" which investigates the level of Automation penetration in 26 countries around the globe, 40% of companies have already undertaken initiatives to develop technologies of automation, interested in the benefits as regards productivity, efficiency and accuracy. In fact, it is estimated that these instruments can lead to cost reductions between 22% and 27% and an increase in revenues of 11%. Yet, although the benefits are obvious, it is not so easy to introduce effective changes in the industry: about 1 in 3 companies have an insufficient level of IT readiness to exploit the potential of automation technologies and 55% reveal difficulties in developing a business case. In support of these initiatives. 70% of respondents perceive the fragmentation of processes as the main obstacle to the adoption of Intelligent Automation, although the real problem is represented by the absence of digital inputs for automation solutions.
